Oh how i hate them. Today my poor child had to get shots. He was already upset when the doctor came in (does he SERIOUSLY remember last time he got shots?!?!?) It was like 5 months ago! No way!
anyway, so the doctor kind of upset him just by being there... and i had a ton of questions about all of the milk allergy stuff... so he decided we should draw his blood to run an allergy panel... even though he and every other doctor says that they're kind of pointless at this age... who knows. i am kind of curious though, if he is allergic to anything else... so they will tell me percentage-wise how allergic he is to specific allergens... Interesting...
anyway, so we go to the lab, and the girl sticks him... and blows his vein (one girl had to hold his arm still, while i was holding him on my lap, and the other lady stuck him...) she sticks his other arm and blows that vein also... With not enough blood to run the tests (and no more veins to poke...) she decides to get a needle for a heel-stick, and poked his toe and milked that sucker for everything it was worth. She got what she hoped would be enough, and put the 5th band-aid of the day on him. Then she dropped the bottle, and blood splattered all over me (and her)... but the bottle hadn't broken (THANK EVERYTHING HOLY! i was not about to let her stick his other flipping toe!!) one of the tubes she had used to get the blood out of his toe still had some blood in it, so my new(-ish) white shirt has blood spots on it now. she told me to put hydrogen peroxide on them to get them out.... so we will see i guess.
He screamed the ENTIRE TIME. It was a rough morning :) But he has been such a good boy all day since! I am glad Coleman got to come too, to see how rough it is! It's so sad. i hate watching them hurt my little guy! :)
Strange too, He is starting to transition to one nap a day now too. Which is weird. Kind of nice in some ways. I LOVE Nap-time! so i can nap too! yay!
